Full Circle Awards 2026

Do you know a circular champion? Someone who repairs, reuses or refurbishes items instead throwing them away?

We're celebrating everyday people across Ireland who are helping to create positive change through circular living.

Across six categories, we are inviting people around the country to nominate their local circular champions. These are ordinary individuals are making an extraordinary impact through their actions, ideas, and commitment to a more circular future.

What winners receive

The Full Circle Awards recognise outstanding circular economy action and innovation across Ireland, celebrating the people and projects helping to make reuse, repair and sustainable living part of everyday life.

€2,000 Prize

Each category winner will receive a €2,000 prize to support and recognise their circular work.

Handcrafted Trophy

Winners will receive a unique handcrafted trophy made from upcycled materials.

Media Exposure

Shortlisted nominees and winners will be promoted through Circular.ie, social media and associated press coverage.

Repair and Reuse
Champion

For individuals who regularly repair, repurpose, or extend the life of items, including clothing, tools, furniture or electronics.

Community Circular
Champion

Honouring people who lead or support community initiatives like sharing libraries, swap events, food waste solutions, or local repair cafés.

Creative Circular
Design

For artists, designers and innovators who create circular solutions through product or system design that eliminates waste, reuses materials or transforms waste through upcycling.

Circular Living
Advocate

For individuals who live by and promote zero waste, low impact lifestyles, including educators, content creators, and everyday roles.

Best Community
Campaign

Spotlighting Ireland’s best circular economy campaigns run by community groups.

Circular Sports
Champion

For athletes, teams or organisations that champion circular economy principles through equipment reuse, sustainable facilities, or innovative sports related circular initiatives.

Who can be nominated?

The Full Circle Awards are open to individuals and small-scale organisations driving real change on the ground through circular living, reuse, repair, recycling and sustainable practices.

Eligibility Focus

  • Community activists and volunteers passionate about circularity.
  • Individuals creating circular solutions.
  • Micro-business owners and sole traders with 10 employees or fewer who work directly in their business and demonstrate genuine circular practices.
  • People working in social enterprises with 250 employees or fewer.

Criteria Exclusions

  • Full-time professional sustainability consultants or advisors.
  • Corporate employees whose primary role is sustainability or circularity.
  • Large businesses or corporations whose sustainability or circularity is handled by a dedicated team or consultants.

Essential Criteria

  • The competition is open to adults aged 18 and over.
  • The nominator must know the nominee personally or have firsthand knowledge of their work.
  • Nominees must be aware that they are being nominated.
  • Entrants can nominate themselves.
